Solihull Moors have completed the signing of Stockport County striker Alexander Reid on a one-season loan deal.
The 26-year-old returns to Armco Arena after a successful loan spell in 2018, which saw Reid score four goals in fifteen appearances as the club completed the great escape from the National League.
Reid began his youth career at AstonVilla and Wallsallbefore briefly switching to the Swedish side in 2014 Angel. He also had spells to Solihull Moors & Rushall Olympic before going to Town of Fleetwood in 2017.
After his Solihull Moors spell, Reid was released and later joined Stevenage but was limited to just eleven appearances, including loan spells at AFC Fylde, Ebbsfleet United and Dagenham and Redbridge before finally settling in Stockport County.
Reid scored 18 in 55 appearances for Stockport County and was a real standout player in his first season for the National League side. Last season, Reid was not used effectively, even more so when the attacker Paddy Madden come. He even refused to move Solihull Moors at the back of the 2021/2022 season, out of a desire to help Stockport County win the EFL promotion.
Alexander Reid joins the club after a string of attacking departures at Solihull Moors as Adam Rooney and Danny Newton were released and Kyle Hudlin has yet to sign a new contract.
