GCEX, a digital brokerage firm regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, has opened an office in Kuala Lumpur, with investment from True Global Ventures, the venture capital firm.

The expansion into Malaysia is part of a broader effort to improve GCEX’s service to its growing customer base in Asia.

The first member of the operations team has already joined the company, with four additional hires expected by May 2022.

Founded in 2018, GCEX provides a digital asset and exchange platform for liquidity providers, counterparty lenders and digital asset custody institutions.

GCEX is headquartered in London, with offices in Scotland and Denmark. Its office in Denmark opened in September 2021.
