Resurs: recruits big names and introduces new group leadership – focus on strengthening position in e-commerce and growing across the company


Mattias Ekman, from Klarna, who has held various senior sales roles, will join Resurs as CCO Nordic Retail Finance. Group management is also expanded to include a newly recruited CCO from the Nordic Credit Cards business line. Other changes in the management of the Resurs group include a new Consumer Credit CCO, who will take office shortly, and the appointment of a new COO. With these developments, Resurs is keen to strengthen its position in e-commerce and its commercial offers on the Nordic market.

Resurs has an ambitious agenda and is in the midst of a transformation journey to become a more competitive digital and sustainable financial company. This involves a number of different initiatives and companies to strengthen the competitiveness and growth of the company. Resurs’ investment in a cloud-based platform was recently announced, and alongside this, new processes are being developed to improve the company’s business focus and innovative business development and of products. New key members of the Resurs Group Management Board can now be introduced.

Several new names have been recruited into the management of the Resurs Group. Tomas Bromander will be the new CCO Nordic Credit Cards, joining Resurs after his role as Director of Business Development at Mastercard. The management of the Resurs group will also welcome Alexander Burman as CCO Nordic Consumer Loans. Alexander Burman recently held a similar position at Santander Consumer Bank. Andreas Fridell, CCO Nordic B2B, recently took up his duties as the new COO and will also continue to serve as CCO Nordic B2B until further notice.
